The Big Trees: The year is 1900, and unscrupulous lumber baron Jim Fallon (Kirk Douglas) schemes to take advantage of a new law in order to exploit California's redwood forests. The only thing standing in his way is the Quaker colony that developed much of the land that he desires. While the colony attempts to persuade him to spare their precious sequoia trees, Fallon discovers that he's not the only one after these gems of nature and forms a most unlikely alliance.
