The story of this film is adapted from the Old Testament and is presided over by Orson Welles as King Saul. The Phillistines declare war on the Israelites and wrench the Arch of Alliance from them. Saul listens to the words of the prophets, who tell him that the new king will be a young shepard named David. But David has to fight the enemy - their mighty giant Goliath. In Color.
The Stranger:
Orson Welles plays a mysterious stranger who comes to a middle of the road town and attempts to integrate himself into the everyday lives of the townspeople. Later, Edward G. Robinson arrives, looking for an escaped Nazi criminal, and of course, strange things begin to happen. The film's climactic scene is one of the most memorable in cinema history.
