Summary:
A very young Robert Wagner stars as Tony Petrakis, a sponge fisherman working the coasts of Florida with his father. Complicating their lives are deadly rivals, led by Thomas and Arnold, who will stop at nothing to defend their territory. When a fatal accident takes the life of Tony's father, he is left to carry on the family business alone, that is until meeting Gwyneth, the daughter of his fiercest rival.
This colorful film, with Romeo and Juliet overtones, features breathtaking location shots and a stirring Bernard Herrmann score. It's also unique for innovations, such as being the first movie to shoot underwater scenes in Cinemascope.
